Earth Rotation Closure

A self-contained exercise for checking the relationship among the native A8 angular ruler, civil clock, Earth-surface navigation distance, mean rotational motion and binary length ladder. No legacy unit is required for the structural proof.

How much rotational time corresponds to one native A8 angular unit?

256 / 64 = 4 A8 MINUTE

1 A8 map degree = 4 A8 minutes of Earth rotation

“A8 map degree” here means one native 1/512-turn angular unit, not one legacy 1/360 degree.

Exercise B · Distance → Speed → Time

One native angular-unit arc along the mean-Earth circumference is:

CE,mean / 2⁹

But:

A8 NAV = CE,mean / 2¹⁵

Therefore:

(C / 2⁹) / (C / 2¹⁵) = 2⁶ = 64

1 A8 angular-unit arc = 64 A8 NAV

Mean rotational motion travels:

C / 2¹⁷ = (C / 2¹⁵) / 2² = ¼ A8 NAV per A8 SECOND

Time required to travel 64 NAV:

64 NAV ÷ (¼ NAV / A8 SECOND) = 256 A8 SECOND = 4 A8 MINUTE

Cross-check

The angle-and-clock route and the distance-and-speed route were calculated differently. They meet at the same exact result:

ANGLE + CLOCK → 4 A8 MINUTE DISTANCE + ROTATIONAL SPEED → 4 A8 MINUTE

Equivalently:

Exercise C · Binary ladder check

Under the current operational A8/31 realization, A8 NAV occupies this position on the binary ladder:

The distance traveled by mean Earth rotation in one A8 SECOND is exactly one quarter of NAV. One quarter is 2⁻², so the ladder position moves exactly two rungs:
